No necesito cubrirlo en invierno, el frío llega a -12 C todos los años. I do this to protect the rhizomes, and if possible I will tarp some of the bamboos to the ground so that they are completely insulated with the heat of the soil. This usually prevents any leaf burn at all on temperate bamboo.

A 24 inch layer of leaf mulch should be OK.Steve Lauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05398643598426170132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1878745583066904839.post-7270343956566937862011-11-10T16:54:09.317-08:002011-11-10T16:54:09.317-08:00I am in zone 7 and plan to mulch heavy about 24&qu...I am in zone 7 and plan to mulch heavy about 24" of tree leafs. Most bamboos don't run that fast around here.Steve Lauhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05398643598426170132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1878745583066904839.post-31430087207519672802011-11-01T01:43:47.049-07:002011-11-01T01:43:47.049-07:00i would probably do same if i would have so much s...i would probably do same if i would have so much space. i hope that some day...Uroshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18189643144730970913noreply@blogger.com
