  1. beautiful! how long before fall do you think bamboo needs to be planted to establish itself a bit? also, do you have regular email? i would like to ask you some questions about our planting ideas, since we live in the sticks i have no cell signal!!! interested in planting SOON!

  2. My regular email is lau1922@yahoo.com

I think bamboos can be planted anytime of the year as long as they are properly protected for their first winter. I've had new divisions taken in late fall under an over-wintering tarp that made it through with no problem, and I'm in zone 6A.

  4. Sure, this blog is open to the public. I've also started bamboos from seeds many times with multiple species.

  5. Great work on the blog Steve. Keep up the documentation. I really need to try parvifolia up here in Canada. You willing to try and ship some?

  6. I can get some up to Canada however it will cost quite a bit more so it may be wise to get a very small division up. Email me at lau1922@yahoo.com.

I'll keep up the documentation as I see more changes, and next year being the 4th year for some of these boos, they should get huge.
